Mini cupcakes are yummy, I don't know if it is because they are the perfect size to pop in you mouth or because they are are so cute. Whatever the reason they are delicious. My girls and I picked up this machine after Christmas. It was a great steal at $7.50. The girls know how to make their very own cupcakes and have so much fun in the process. Here is our first batch we made.

Went to Michaels today and scored some goodies. I love this yarn it is the best for making dish towels or pot holders. The colors make it fun to use. The paper is from the Recollections line and I think it will make great cards and tags for birthdays. Sharpies are a must super fine point are the ones I use the most.

Check out the ribbon from American Crafts. Love it! And that paper mache mushroom there, I just couldn't pass it up. I see a pretty pink or teal mushroom sprouting up soon.

This wonderful shabby magnetic calendar is so pretty and perfect in my studio. It is 20 inches by 12 inches. I used a Joanns coupon and got it for $8.50 score.

December Daily. This will be my first year doing it. I am loving the idea behind it. Check out Ali's Blog for more information and how to get started. I gathered all my Christmas scrapbook items to use.

I searched everywhere for a binder to use for a foundation. This is what I found. It is perfect. Works great. I'm going to mix some of my vintage items with my new scrapbook supplies. I will try to show each days page here on my blog. If I can finish this album this I may give Project Life a try.

I also joined this swap. Cerri is a wonderful host and I cant wait to get my partner. I need to get to Hobby Lobby sometime this weekend to find the perfect stocking. I love Holiday crafting. What projects are you working on?

Ribbon holder

I found this old thing. I'm not even sure what it is used for? I needed something to hold my ribbon. I'm sure I have seen this idea somewhere else. Sorry I cant remember.

I just love it now. It fits my ribbon perfectly. I usually stick with the same colors of ribbon. It really doesn't hold much. But I'm sure if you search enough you can find a bigger one at your thrift store.

This year Michaels has some amazing ribbon in the Christmas section. This week it is 40% off. The gold ribbon. Is so pretty it is more tarnished gold, than just gold. The pink and the blue are just to pretty. I think I need some more. The red and green glitter ribbon that Michaels sells would be perfect for some Christmas tags. Oh so many ideas.

I just put out the Halloween Decor inside the house. I sorta left it to one area this year. i took the less is more approach. The Halloween sign is backwards because it faces the front door. I love the Boo banner I made last year. I made a mini one for a friend of mine last year. She hangs it on her fridge I think I need one for my fridge too. Enjoy your day.

Fall Decor

I love the holiday seasons. Yes seasons. Starting with Fall. Living in AZ and suffering through the Summer heat is well worth the sweat. The Fall and Winters here are just beautiful. Chilly enough for a little sweater but not cold enough that we need big heavy jackets. I start decorating early. Here is my front door this year. I'm working on a wreath for the door and will post that later.

I made this garden flag myself. I used some leftover burlap, stamps and acrylic paint. I think it looks great. Took all of 10 minutes to complete.Ideas are already swirling in my head for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Chirstmas.

I don't have a green thumb and I have been known to kill every live plant I have ever had. I love flowers in my yard just cant plant them to save my life. My solution is to buy fake ones. These are just left overs from a fall garland that I had. I stuck some foam in the bottom of planter and just threw in some garlands and fake pumpkins, pine cones and any other fall items I had. Voila done this also took 10 minutes.

My vinyl love borders on obsession. My house looks like a dictionary. Here is one I recently made with my Silhouette machine. Excuse the photo I used my phone. I am thinking I need some vinyl decor for the holiday season. The silhouette store makes so many wonderful designs. The hardest part is choosing the ones to use.

Summer always seems to get the best of me. We spent our Summer relaxing, going to the pool, and just plain being lazy. Sometimes we goofed around like this. Who knew .50 cent streamer could be so fun

Roxy didn't really liked it. She ended up bulldozing through the streamers.

But then it was time to go back to school. And let me tell you I was so happy. I love having my kiddos. But I also love some me time. We are all settling back into out routines and are enjoying the new school year. Now its time to craft.

Spy training

While looking through Pinterest I came across this idea my kids loved it. Since my youngest is so tall it was hard for her to maneuver it. Even my hubby tried with not much success. My oldest got the hang of it early on.

Roxy was not so into the training. My oldest coaxed her out though. They played this for about 20 minutes before my oldest decided to run through it. We love Summer.

New goodies

I did a little shopping. I bought some new Basic grey paper and some new Bazzill. I love the Bazzill that is embossed it really makes a layout pop. My little one had recently gotten into scrapbooking and so we got her some new stuff to create with. I found a great stamp that says Live for today and I love that saying. That will be finding its way onto a bunch of layouts soon.

Then there was this little purchase I decided to jump on the Silhouette bandwagon. I packed up and sold off my Cricut Expression, Gypsy and all 22 cartridges and bought this puppy. I couldn't be happier and as soon as they come out with a 12 in trimmer I will be getting that one too. This machine is just amazing. I love how the shapes are super cheap and I don't have to buy an entire cartridge just to use one image on it. If you are in teh market for a digital cutter check out the Silhouette it is well worth it.

So this swap was fun because I just made for her what I would want in my studio. I love the little mercury ball garland that I made. My coffee table display. My Edward Cullen card made by a friend for me. Although I think she is wrong I do believe he will love me. A little drawer I altered. And my lovely tea light holders were a gift from my friend Monica years ago. I still love them and use them all the time.

My desk oh my desk. i do love it. It was a steal for $50.00. I was able to get it from a local boutique that was going out of business. I love all the cubbies it has on the side to store my scrappy goodies. A new layout I'm starting. That photo strip in the back is from last years family vacation to San Diego. It is my favorite.

My cabinet holds all my extra supplies that I don't want visible. That old ledger was a steal at only $5.00 on Etsy.

Some of my stamps. I used simple pieces of wood and nailed them to the wall to create a shelf. Works perfectly. I hope you enjoyed my studio. I love it and try to spend any free time I have in it.

This weekend I worked at the CKC Mesa scrapbook convention. It was fun and very hard work. These are all the goodies I got. Under all taht stuff is a box full of Bazzill. It was a great deal at $20.00 for a pizza box full. Today I'm working on cleaning my studio it is a mess. Yesterday we finished up my daughters science project and I got to use my expression for it. I have an affinity for vinyl. I love it all over my walls and other decor. Which is why I'm so excited about tomorrows purchase. I'm bringing home the Cricut Expression. These are vinyl I purchased through Uppercase Living. But I'm so excited to make my own. First thing I will decorate with my new expression is the expression. Ooh I cant wait!

Here is the page I'm working on. Reason I say working on is because I need to add some journaling. My writing is so hideous I don't want to scare my families future generations. I have been to lazy to get my butt up and over to the store to get some ink. So for now it sits here waiting to be finished, but I am loving it! I also made this card for my friend who made my daughters birthday cake. Looking forward to a nice night in tonight with the family no plans just some quality time.

Valentines Day!

Valentines Day is my little ones day. She is my little valentine. A wonderful friend of mine whipped this cake up in no time for her. It was delish.

Breakfast for all my loves were strawberry heart shaped pancakes. Hubby got his in bed! Lucky man.

And each of my girls received a bug em! cutest little things.
You can fill the backpacks on the bug with treats and little encouragements. Such a great day!

A challenge to myself

2010 was a terrible year for scrap booking. I think I completed 3 pages all year long. I have challenged my self to create more pages. I'm going to shoot for 50 layouts this year. I added a little tracker on my sidebar. Call it motivation. Should be fun. Check out the new blog design. I was inspired by my bestie. Here is hers. Monicas Blog. Well I guess the time had to come. Since I got a late start on Christmas I left my decorations up a bit longer. But now it is time to say goodbye till next year. A little tip coffee filters work great for wrapping individual ornaments in. Just an fyi.

Now on to a new love of mine facetime it is the greatest!. I never really got the hype about facetime till me and my bestie used it. She is in Japan. And it was nice. Just like having her here with me. Love it. Thank goodness my girls got the ipods for Christmas now mama can use it to chit chat. And scrapbook with my friend who is so far away.

Next post will be all about love.

Now go away Monday. I have a love hate relationship with Monday. First I get so much done. This feels great. I get to check off things on my to do list. Then there is the new to do list that Monday creates. Oh Monday we will just have to battle it out. I'm up for the challenge, are you Monday?

Weekend was great had a basketball tournament. Our girls did great. They are such wonderful players. We will start winning soon enough. My girl jammed her little finger again and now it is in a splint.

We are in full swing at my house decorating. It has been a slow process this year. 2 days and only the inflatables are up and half the house inside are decorated. Can't seem to get the motivation to decorate. My kiddos got sick with strep throat and I think they passed it on to me. This weekend my big girl has a basketball tournament so we will be pretty busy with all those games. I did manage to make a new advent calendar. Rather than fill with treats we filled it with prayers. Something to honor our savior with. Pictures later. well have a great day.

Sick

I have a sick little girl and a sick dog. First the little one. She all of a sudden had a 102.9 temp. Um hello curve ball. didn't see that coming. My kids have been lucky enough to not get sick that often. knock on wood. I cant remember the last time they had fevers. Needless to say I was scared. I hovered over her a bit too much. She is getting better. Nothing that mamas chicken soup cant take care of. Then I wake up this morning and my doggy has licked her paws raw. So now she wears the cone around her neck. She keeps looking at me like mama please take this off I wont lick my paws. little liar. She is on the mends too. She gets yummy dog food when she is sick. You see a pattern here? Food. It has a comfort factor that nobody can deny. I had big plans this week to get my nails done and some crafting but oh well my mommy duties were a calling. Maybe next week. So hopefully I can work on one Halloween item before the holiday comes.

A new little toy to play with. Now if my camera would get out of the shop I would be in business. I can use my Blackberry but the photos are not the best. I may have to take my daughters just to see how it works..hehe! What is super neat about the printer is it uses no ink and prints 2*3 photos with a sticky back. Perfect for crafts and mini books. So I got myself a little early Christmas gift. A few months back my oldest broke my camera lens. My favorite lens. Since then I haven't really taken photos. I think I got to attached to my lens. It really is a good inexpensive lens. Great for indoor photos and not to bulky to carry around. Now I got it back. It should be here tomorrow. Yay!!! Just in time for Christmas Morning.

Christmas cards, wrapping paper, parties and planning. Where does the time go? This week is my kiddos last week at school before Winter Break starts and I am all to happy. I can't wait to just relax and enjoy some holiday crafting. My kids love to craft with me so our week till Christmas will be filled with some great mommy daughters time. Then the following week will be crazy with family visiting for New years. but till then I will live in the moment and enjoy our time.

This past month we went and saw the Grand Canyon on our way to the Polar Express. We picked a great weekend to go it snowed the whole time. Being a southern California girl I had never seen snow and it was beautiful. My oldest and her daddy spent the morning playing in the Hotel parking lot. Here are some photos from our trip.

I wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving. We will be staying home this year. I plan on doing the whole black Friday thing. And for that I will need my rest.

Here I am with my little girl at Blissfest. This is sadly the only photo I have. I lost my memory card. We had fun and it was a blast seeing all my girls from AZ. Wish I could see them more, but I live on the other side of town and the drive stinks.

I'm trying to get ready for this fun event. Me and my friend Stacey are taking our girls with us for a fun night out. We will all be dressed in our western best and ready to shop. I can't wait to see some of my favorite girls. Lots of photos to come.

Been busy around these parts lately. Seems like the Holidays are sneaking up on us. I'm so looking forward to Thanksgiving. For the past few years we have went to friends houses. This year the hubby and I decided it would be nice to stay home and relax. I think I may have forgotten how to cook...hehe!!

So I went to the doctor and have to wait to have an ultrasound done. She is thinking either a Cyst or a Hernia is my problem. Can't be sure till they take a look. I'm on some pain pills right now to help me get around and function as a mommy. I'm telling you PTO meetings and girl scout meetings are pretty hard when you are in pain.

I'm so looking forward to this weekend, as are most of you. No plans just fun and relaxation. Maybe some thrifting, but otherwise I'm just going to enjoy being lazy and spending some time with my family. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Feeling under the weather.

I just don't feel myself. I have been having some pelvic pain. I think I have a cyst. Just so uncomfortable. Either that or a hernia. It really acts up when I exercise or carry anything heavy. I go to the doctor tomorrow to get a check up. Everyone cross your fingers. Now I'm off to lay down before I have to get my kiddos in 20 minutes.

My girls went back to school today. It is always weird the first day they go back. I always just relax on the first day. Take time for myself. I guess I'm getting ready for the crazy school year full of appointments and meetings. Just a day for myself. A nice cold coke and new magazine makes my day.

I have so many ideas floating around in my head for some crafty creations. Hopefully I act on them. Now to do something not so creative grocery shopping. See ya later.

I joined her Marie Group and let me say WOW!! such talent from all the ladies on that site. I have already joined in on two swaps. An altered envelope swap and ATC swap. Such fun!!

On a sadder little note my poor baby had an abscessed tooth and had to have a baby root canal. Needless to say I haven't been sleeping and Starbucks has been a necessity to make it through the day. You mommies ever feel like that when your child is sick kinda helpless? I wish I could take her pain away. She has slept with me and the hubby the past two nights. Where she will remain till she is all better. She got it fixed but then started complaining about the bottom tooth now. So we are heading back at 1pm to get that checked out. Cross your fingers. Talk to you all later.

My girlis ok. The pain on the lower tooth is because a new tooth is coming in. So she still may need it extracted but at least no infection. Yay mama, can sleep tonight.

WOW!! what a great weekend. A few pics from the weekend.

Me and my girl Tricia. She so pulled a fast one on me. She made Ceviche. YUMMY!!! This is my favorite mexican seafood dish. Oh no you didn't! HEHE!! I got to see the wonderful Maija, Deb and Sherry and Joy too. But I was talking too much I forgot to take photos. Great event. I hope they have one every year. TTFN... More to come. Yesterday was just perfect. My hubby set up brunch for us at Skye Lounge in Peoria. Just beautiful. Shrimp the size of my hand and prime rib. Champagne..mmmm yummy! Then the girls and him surprised me with this lovely ring. Aren't they just too sweet. Guess I was a good mommy this year..hehe!! We spent the rest of the day at home relaxing. A perfect day I tell ya. I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day!

I'm busy getting my outfit together for the Bohemian Bliss Soiree. The only thing I need is some cowboy boots. I need to scour a few more thrift stores before I go to plan b. That is some blinged out sandals. Which just might be more comfortable than boots. I will keep ya posted. As soon as my outfit is all together I will share some photos. TTFN...

I had such a wonderful time in Temecula at La Maison Rustique with Tricia. She is such a doll. I just loves her so much. Her family is equally just as great. Here are just a few photos from the weekend. I have so much more to edit to share. Here is something to get your mouth salivating.

The vignettes they have setup make you want to buy everything. And I would have if we had more room in the van. HEHE!!!

With all the buzz about Somersets new magazine coming out about Marie Antoinette. (This is my advance copy, the book is AMAZING) And I know we all love her so much. I have been wanting to do this for a while. A Marie Antoinette Collage Swap. I need some art for my studio. This will be much like Jenny Holidays bits and pieces swap. Except the theme will be Marie Antoinette. Use all you little bits and baubles and turn an 8 1/2 inch by 11 inch. stretched canvas into a beautiful collage. Here are the rules.

~Only join if you are willing to follow through with the swap.
~If you would like to send along little treasures you are more than welcome too but you don't have too.
~The canvas size should be 8 1/2 inches by 11 inches stretched canvas. Break up the canvas into twelve squares. And follow the theme of Marie Antoinette.
~Mail out to your partner by April 24th

I will take signs ups till April 6th then I will send out partners. Let me know if you will send international. If you don't specify you may end up with an international partner. So please let me know.

Yep that is the new me with glasses. Found out last week my vision is pretty bad. Still getting used to them, headaches suck. Doctor said that will pass in about a week. Once I get used to them. One problem I'm having is taking photos. I don't know if I should keep my glasses on or take them off when I take a photo. Any suggestions? If only I didn't have this weird phobia about sticking my finger in my eye, contact lenses would have been great. I'm on my way out the door to buy a new espresso machine. The hubby and I love a nice hot cup of cappuccino in the morning but hate the drive to go get it. We always have a paper, rock, scissor fight to see who has to go. Talk to you all soon.

This year is turning out to be a great one. Although it feels likes it is flying by. I have been busy with home improvement projects and cleaning and organizing everything in site. My studio has been rearranged twice. Now not because i'm a crazy clean freak. But because I cleaned so I could work in it. Then when out on a thrifting trip I found a new desk with potential. Here is a not so good photo. But you get the idea. I love it.

I'm such a procrastinator. I seem to work better under pressure. Here is my page for Dede's fat book round robin. I love the way it came out. I can't wait to see the book all done. She is so great she is even making us each a cover for our books.

This has turned in to the longest blog post ever. Stupid internet kept shutting down. Now that im a bit peeved I better get off before me and this computer have some words with eachother. Talk to you all soon..

I'm even late for my own party. We had our Holiday Shoppe at my kiddos school. It was hard to eat much less get some time for myself, but enough with the ugly. Let's get on too the beauty. The first five pictures show my studio. It is my fvorite spot in my house. All the wonderful christmas postcards are from Tricia. I won a giveaway of hers and she sent all sorts of lovely Ephemera. The little plastic reindeer and santa are a recent thrift find. I love the chipiness they add to my decor.

New ornaments are a tradition of ours. Every year the girls and I pick a new one for the tree in my bedroom. I love to have all the special ones close by me. I usually picks ornaments of landmarks and places I would love to visit one day. It is so much fun and the girls so enjoy it. The last photo is of the family tree in our front room. I tried something new with it. I used fabric as garland. I love the effect. So beautiful.

It is time for Scrappy Jessi's 2nd Annual Cookie Recipe Swap. Here is my addition to this wonderful swap.

I chose a super simple recipe. I did not use frosting. Just sprinkles. But I think the way it is presented is even more important than the cookie. I got this idea out of Country Living Magazine.

Isn't it just too adorable.

Here is the recipe for simple sugar cookies. I got it from MarthaStewart.comIngredients
Makes 2 dozen
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
1 cup sugar
1 large egg, lightly beaten
2 tablespoons brandy, or milk
1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Royal Icing for Sugar Cookies, optional
Directions
Whisk together flour, salt, and baking powder in a medium bowl. In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, cream butter and sugar; add dry ingredients, and mix until incorporated. With mixer running, add egg, brandy (or milk), and vanilla; mix until incorporated.
Transfer dough to a work surface. Shape into 2 discs, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line baking sheets with nonstick baking mats or parchment paper; set aside.
On a lightly floured work surface, roll out dough to 1/8-inch thickness. Cut into desired shapes, and transfer to prepared baking sheets, leaving an inch in between. Leftover dough can be rolled and cut once more. Bake until lightly golden, about 10 minutes; do not allow to brown. Transfer to wire racks to cool.
Decorate with Royal Icing, optional.

Not much going on around here except for I'm sick. I got an email from a friend saying mommy's are not allowed to get sick. Of all the weeks to get sick it had to be Thanksgiving week. I'm not cooking this year we are heading over to some good friends houses. For some turkey and drinking. So I better start feeling better soon.

WOW!!! I had such a wonderful time. It was a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. And well worth the drive. I do hope she does it every year. The speakers were wonderful. Went to wallyworld today and scored on some flocked wrapping paper. I have so many creative ideas running through my head on how to use this wonderful stuff. It has a metallic sheen to it, but a subtle one. I love all the Christmas stuff coming out.

A few wonderful ladies and I did a great Round Robin. It was my first Round Robin. Now I'm completely hooked. I'm currently involved in another Round Robin. Did you all miss me? This past week I celebrated my b-day. I had such a great day. The hubby and kiddos took me out to dinner to our favorite Italian Restaurant Cucina Tagliani yummy!! Then I came home to some wonderful gifts and cake.

I love my new necklace. The hubby really surprised me. I thought I was getting a chair. He really got me. Next my wonderful friend in Japan, Monica sent me some brownies at the perfect time of the month. They were so yummy.

My girls gave me some wonderful homemade cards. And my youngest daughters class threw me a wonderful breakfast and all made me cards. So sweet!! It was a good birthday.

I haven't been able to do to much crafting with volunteering so much at my girls school. But I did manage to find some time yesterday to make some things and get my package out to Lia for FleaMarketSudios Vintage Halloween Swap. I hope she likes all the goodies I sent her. Here is a peek at her stash I sent off.

Yeah baby, I got my camera back. And i'm up and walking without the use of any contraptions. Went and got a much needed pedicure today. My feet were looking a bit scary. On to some prettiness. Look at what the wonderful Lilia over at FleaMarketStudio sent me. we did a little swap. This girl has got some talent. She makes everything beautiful down to the addressing of the envelope.

Back to School!

I now officially have a 3rd grader and 2nd grader. Today my girls went back to school. All dressed in new clothes and new hairstyles. It is bittersweet. I need to get used to the quietness of the house again. I am loving not having to fight over what we are gonna watch on TV. Now the choice is up to me. Craft shows, Martha Stewart, bio channel it is all my choice. Hey maybe it's not so bittersweet.HE HE!! My camera is getting some work done so for now I'm using my phone for photos. I managed to get one of them to pose for a photo. Here she is, our baby. She is letting her hair grow long and she is so over bangs. Her new style is long layers and framing of her face. Such a big girl now.

I think everyone has caught the Vintage bug. I came across this in Wal-Mart. Love the packaging. I even saw a whoppers box with Vintage inspired packaging.

I think the companies are trying to remind us of simpler times. I'm all for it. If you haven't already check out Heather at Pretty Petals newest post. Then get over there. This TV show looks amazing. So wish they would show it here in the states. Oh and I picked up a new hobby Embroidery so much fun. My husband just laughs at me. Says I have so many hobbies I should never be bored. Summer Days

Lately I have had really nothing to say. - have been enjoying the lazy days of summer with my girls. Only two more weeks and they are back in school. We have been going to the movies, book store and the pool. My nephew has been here for a month. So I have been busy with all of the kiddos. I can't even count how many times I have said "get along or don't play with eachother". He just left yesterday. We are all so sad. We miss him very much.

I did manage to get to a thrift store it has been about a two months since I last went. I scored on some stamps and bingo cards. I have been wanting all of these. Lucky day at the thrift store for me.

Also here is the canvas piece I made. The inspiration came from Mary at Oh Merci. they are so easy and beautiful. Mine now adorns my studio.

slowly but surely

Firts off thanks for all the well wishes. You all make me feel so loved.
I'm getting back into the swing of things. Although I'm still not allowed to walk or put pressure on my foot, I am mobile. Thanks to the little computer roley chair. That thing is my lifeline. The doctor says at least 4 more weeks of no walking. Then I can hopefully start some physical therapy. The one thing that really bugs me about this injury is the scar on my ankle. I have always loved my legs. You know gals. We all have that one feature on our body that we love. For me it was my legs. So if anyone has a good remedy for scars please do tell. Now on to some good news. I got this bad boy today. This is alot of phone for me.

A few weeks back my wonderful hubby got himself a new TV. You know the ultimate in big boy toys. 47inches of blah blah blah. Well he surprised me with this lovely piece to add to my collection. I think he is a keeper ladies.

I managed to do a bit of crafting yesterday. I was totally inspired by Mary at http://merci-notes.blogspot.com/. Which by the way her stuff is beautiful. I love her little chandeliers. I will show you tomorrow my creation.TTFN.

Ok so I went to the doctor and got an update on my ankle sprain. I found out that the sprain is the least of my worries. It seem I have a unusual condition. Unusual because of my age. It is called Osteochondral defect of the talus. I read up a bit. It really is in doctor language so I'm gonna have to wait till next w endsday to get some real info. The good news is I'm sporting a new pink cast.

On to some sad news. I lost my wonderful cat of 8yrs. His name was Meeko and he was my baby. I really don't wanna write to much about this, as it really hurts to think about him .

And to top things off my wonderful best friend Monica is leaving in 3 short days. I'm gonna miss you girl. Even though she has so much on her plate she managed to come over to my house and run and wash the dishes, I love you girl. We are going to dinner with them on Friday for our last goodbye. I wish there were more good news to write about. I wanted this blog to share about my life and this is whats going on right now. And on one last note, my husband just maybe the best husband in the world has really stepped up and helped. On top of running a business he is managing to take care of the girls and the house. He has ran them to swim lessons for the past two weeks and Shuttled them to and from friends houses. He is the best. TTFN ladies....

Good times till...

This shows me and Monica before our good time was ruined. We all were having such a wonderful time on the boat. The kids were enjoying the water. And so were our fellas.

Didn't we look so happy and ready to have fun. We were having a great time. The ride was so much fun. Until we got out of our own wake. Then everything started to get rough. I was whipped out of the raft, but not my whole body left the raft. The rafts lining tangled my foot up. I was being dragged by the raft. I was trying to loosen my foot. But I soon realized I needed to breathe. So I left my foot tangled. I gotta tell you my hubby immediately stopped the boat when I flew out but it felt like forever. I now know why when you are in an accident it feels like slow motion. It is to give yourself time to react to the situation. When I finally got untangled and in the boat we then realized how bad it was. My entire right foot was swollen and bruised. It looked as if the lining almost ripped my ankle off. I went to the ER the following day, they took x-Rays and an MRI. My foot was so twisted it bent in to the left. I have to follow up with the Doctor in a few days. But for now I'm on crutches. So I will be in the house. More than likely in my bed.

At least my toes were done. I'm off to lay down now. TTFN....

First off thanks for the well wishes. Im feeling betetr and can even eat now.
My youngest had her very first dance last Saturday. She got a new dress and I did her hair all up. Her and her daddy danced the whole night. After a night of dancing daddy took her out to dinner. They had such a good time.

On another note this is all the lovely stuff I received from Jennifer for the Junque In the Trunk swap. She spoiled me.

I finally got them out. I was so scared for a long time. Everyone told me it was going to hurt. It was easy. I'm recovering right now. But it feels so good to have them out.
The day before I got them pulled. I took photos of this cutie for Monica and her mom. She was such a good baby for the photos. I got to go now lots of cleaning and shopping to do. While mommy was down for the count my little gremlins took advantage. I will be back tomorrow with pictures from my youngest first ever daddy daughter dance.

Today my youngest played hooky from school and we had a mommy daughter day. Went to movie and lunch. Stopped by Barnes and Noble for some reading. See she got to do some work today. Easter Basket!

I got my Easter basket on Saturday. Erin and I had a string of bad luck with the post office. They misplaced my package to her and vice versa. We got it all worked out though. Here is my lovely package Erin sent me. My little bunny got a chipped off ear from his long trip to me. Thank you so much Erin. I love everything. Especially the candy. The glitter is really pretty. Looks like mint green sugar.

Here are some lovely jewelry finds from this weekend. All for one dollar. Aren't they just lovely.

We had a busy weekend. Two birthday parties. One for a 7 year old and one for a 13year old. Both very fun. And the weather here in AZ was to die for. Mid 80's. This weekend we are gonna try to go to the lake. Just to go on the boat. Not to get in the water. I think we still have a month before we can do that. Hope everyone is having a nice Monday. TTFN...

So we all love Marie Antoinette. I'm watching the movie feeling incredibly inspired to create. But I don't know what. Help me ladies.

I have been feeling so guilty that I haven't scrapbooked a page in over a year. I think of how many memories I have not documented. I mean I took pictures of everything, but have not wrote about each event. What am I to do? I know make a year in review book. Oh my will you look at that I just gave myself something to make. Yay me!!

Exercising is going well. While I was sick I didn't exercise. I have made up for that. I started walking everyday. After I drop off the kids at school I go walking around Surprise Park. It is really nice. People are fishing kids are playing. It is just nice to people watch and walk. I'm happy to say I have reached my 10,000 steps all this week so far. I'm off to create before I lose my muse. It comes and goes so quickly. TTFN...
